Love for the Game.jpg

I hear the buzz of hundreds of people,

Chattering, gossiping.

But nothing stops

The boom of excitement or,

The boo of disappointment.

Which do you prefer-- the loud clang of the legendary Xeno, or

The deep thud of the new up and coming Demarini.

The pitchers love the snap of my not so icy white Rawlings glove.

The moving of my mouth will not stop, words constantly slithering.

The clicking and clacking of metal cleats versus the concrete sidewalks.

The stomping of our feet slamming against

The ground to try to slide our shoes on with out untying the laces.

The thumping of our racing hearts and

The screaming of thirteen sisters when you defeat

The third ranked team in the country and

National Champions.
